My favorite Stuffed Animal

All people, generally, have their own favorite and important things. Me too, I also have one, which is a very precious thing for me. Guess what is it? It’s a teddy bear. “Teddy?” you might think I’m a little childish. But it’s not just a cute teddy which all children always love. For me, it’s really meaningful; it reminded me all my memorable childhood.
Backwards to 10 years ago, my 5th birthday I celebrated a birthday party. I received many lovely gifts from my friends and my family. My parents bought me a huge teddy bear which became my favorite stuffed animal since then and all times. This teddy has a smiling cute face and white cotton fur which is softer than snow or cotton candy. It dressed neatly in an attractive plaid blouse and the pinky short skirt. It also has a pinky ribbon and bow on its dress. I named this cutie as Nina. Nina is a perfect stuffed animal I absolutely adored it. As you see the teddy in the picture, it is 99% similar to Nina. Nina is big enough for me to hug comfortably almost every night.
When my parents went abroad for their businesses, I was lonely and of course I missed them so much. Luckily, I had my teddy bear by my side. I comforted myself by playing with it. At home, Nina is like a best friend to me. When I was younger, I usually thought that it’d be better if my teddy could speak. So I might have someone to play, to talk with when I got bored. It was totally silly, wasn’t it?
Anyway, I placed my beloved teddy on the headboard of my bed. These days, Nina is old. Some part of its body was already cleaved. Its fur is also rip up. But no matter what, I still liked it. Why do I like it that much? Well, the reason is very simple. Cause it belongs to me. It reminded me of the old memories which I’d spent with my dearest mom and dad. It made me feel better when I was in a bad mood or got upset with something. It made me feel I wasn’t alone in my world (bedroom).

  1. Hi Roath,
Good to see your post. Everyone sure loves their stuffed animals! Very good description of the bear - I didn't even need the photo to picture it!

Good job revealing your lonely times and how much you loved your parents through the description of your relationship with Nina.

suggestions: tearing down - worn down?
Consider combining some sentences and cutting out unnecessary words - for example:
"This teddy has a smiling cute face and white cotton fur which is softer than snow or cotton candy." What do you think?

I liked the contrast between the new and old teddy, and picturing how he has been loved so much that he's falling apart! We grow up fast and as adults we start forgetting... so I hope you always keep Nina with you, at least in your heart.

    Nice, thank you for sharing!
