Summer on the beach

It is a very sunny day, on the beach, there is sand , sea water, boat....etc. On the sand there are shells , sea plants. There are huge waves covered on the beach and slide back into the sea. There are many people eating seafoods , sunbathing, making sandcastles. Some are swimming, diving under the sea. Under the sea there are many kind of sea animals, sea plants.Especially, sharks, dolphins , jellyfish...etc. Sea plants are useful like seaweeds that we can eat for nutrients in our body. We can smell barbeque, grill seafoods. The sound that we can hear is waves , people, birds. In the morning we can see the sun shines and the birds are singing , it really can make us feel happy. We can breathe the fresh air , no pollution that makes us healthy! In the evening, the sun sets the shadow of the sun in the sea. It is really beautiful! We can travel to the Islands where we can see the pure water. When we swim there we can see our legs clearly. We can make tents and sleep there or can travel back to the beach and camp. We can also fishing . With the taste of sweet, fresh and delicious. When it is early morning at 3 to 4 am we can catch crabs, fishes and lobsters, shrimp all that you want. But carefully it probably can bite your fingers!

Closer to paradise on Earth

As my family was driving up to the top of Bokor Mountain on a newly restored road, the only which really took my breathe away was gazing at all the beautiful exotic vegetation growing elegantly at the side of our route. Approached at a very high point of the mountain, I excitedly rushed out from the car to enjoy the senses on this tropical paradise. Massive cold white clouds was floating gently in the air through trees, people and cars and then I was completely covered in a cold but joyful whiteness for the first time of my life. The smells of salty air from the visible sea down below filled the atmosphere and the breeze continued to pass my face in tranquility. Minuted later, clouds began to disappear from my sight and left a absolutely stunning view of the sea, islands and more importantly, the mountain's forest from nearly 1 km from the sea level, under the gorgeous blue sky, flooded with bright sunshine. That moment is now buried so deeply in my memory and it is just too spectacular for me to forget.

The trip through the forest

It was very late at night and I was walking back home after school. My home was outside of town and I had to walk through the creepy old forest every day unless I wanted to spend 2 hours circling around it. As I was making my way through the forest, I felt the cold eerie wind which sent a chill down my spine. I could feel that something was definitely weird that day, the forest seemed too quiet. Then, the cold night wind came blowing through the trees and made the soft leaves rattle faintly. The thin dark branches swayed through the wind as if they were dancing in the cold night. The dancing shadows of the trees made the situation even creepier. As if things couldn't get any worse, I heard a loud screeching thunder, and it started raining! My heart beat faster than ever and I was running as fast as I could to get out of this dark and scary forest.
As I made a run for it, out of nowhere a pack of ugly, filthy wolves stopped me in my tracks. Were these grotesque hairy animals planning to eat me as their dinner? At that moment, I felt so fragile and afraid. I could feel my instincts tell me to be brave and defend myself but, I was so afraid I couldn't even stand up. I felt that all this would end in a moment as I prepared for the worst. I thought of the great memories I had shared with my family, the great times of my life and that now it is time for my life to end.
Suddenly, one of the wolves jumped and attacked me roughly and sent me flying against an old, spooky oak tree. I felt that the moment had come for my life to end as the wolf leaped again to attack me. BANG! Suddenly, the wolf was lying on the ground, dead. I saw a shadowy person holding a light but I was so tired and out of energy that fainted right at that spot.

I woke up in the morning, in the warmth of my family's small wooden house to see my mother and father. They smiled and held my hands and I closed my eyes drifting off to sleep. So, after all, it was my father who saved me last night.

One Blossom Spring Day

"Spring is a joyful season of flowers. Spring is unique and never repeating like a flow time. "

It was a beautiful sunny morning. The sun was shining brightly on the blue sky. The flowers which my family and I lovingly planted, have already bloomed. It was the time when spring had come again.

The sward was surrounded by the pretty green grass. The whole garden was fulfilled with bushes of colorful flowers such as roses, daisy, marigold, tulip and crocus. Moreover, there were also a few of cherry blossom trees, which bloomed with charming pink and white blossom. Swarms of bees rushed at them. They hummed round the opening buds. They hummed round the blooming petals.They looted the essence of flowers and made honey of it. Butterflies, too, gone to the flowers and sit on them. They flew here and there about the flowers. Flowers of various colors danced in the vernal wind. It carried to us smell of flowers and music of soils.

A happy day

This morning when I woke up I heard the soft sound of the wind, so I opened my bedroom window. I saw clear blue sky, the bright yellow sun and the weather was great, cool fresh air was blowing and touched my face softly. After I took a shower I went to have breakfast that my mum has cooked for me. She cooked hot tasty soup with a glass of orange juice for me. After that I walked to my garden which full of colorful flowers such as roses, tulips, jasmines, sunflowers etc. The beautiful view and the smell of flowers make me felt very happy.

Jackson is a poor kid in the town who is in grade 12 in the town. He has got 1 brother. His father is dead since the war 2 years ago. Last Sunday he went to the farm to help his mother for the harvest. About 3 o'clock in the afternoon, his mother came home first because she was very tired, so he stayed there alone till 5:30. When he walked back home, it was a bit dark because the cloud seem like it'll raining. About 2 minutes later the rain was coming very heavy so he ran very fast to find the dry place. When he was running toward his house, he saw one old house, so he ran to that house and wait for stop raining. He sat on one old chair in front of the house. The rain is heavier. He though that maybe it's rain till next morning, so he decided to sleep in this house tonight. He opened the door, the house is full of web.

Dream in my Childhood

When I was a child, I dreamed about Santa Clause once or twice. I used to wish to see Santa giving me gifts in Christmas. That time I was about only 2 or 3 years old, and I did really believe in Santa, but not now anymore.

Sometimes it's a little hard for me to recall my dreams from 9 or 10 years ago. Anyway, I'll try to recall and describe it to you as clear as possible.

In the dream, it was about 6 o'clock in the evening. I was standing behind the door of my house. I saw an old man dragging big big bags into his vehicle - which I didn't really know what it was. All i could know is that it was made out of pieces of wood, it's old but it was so steady. '' I wish I could have a ride on it sometimes'' I told myself. I stood there for such a long time, until I heard my mom called me from the distance. The man turned around and look at me fiercely. I was so scared that the man would catch me for watching what he had been doing. I started to run away from the door as quick as I could. I couldn't find anyone in my house nor my mom who had just called my name. I was so shocked and I ran out to the street. It was so cold outside, my heart was beating so fast and my cold tears were running down my cheeks. I was running so swiftly. Luckily, the old man didn't follow me up anymore and I was awaken by that time.'I stepped out of my bed and trying to find if there were people in the house. I saw my mom at first sight, I was so happy. I wish I wouldn't have the next episode of this dream again.

Anyway, sometimes I really want to go back to my childhood. That was my happiest and the most enjoyable time of my life. Being a little girl, I was so carefree. I would do whatever I like to, and my life wasn't as hard and busy as now. That's why sometimes I behave like a 3-year-old girl, and my friends say that I'm so childish. But that's okay, I got used to that '' childish '' word because sometimes it does fit me.

Many years have past.There are many things I've enjoy and there are some bad things that I've met too.So nowadays when I was alone in my bedroom, I'll always think to the past Where I've been when I was young?Suddenly I remember one place that I have been visited and also it's my favorite place too.It's is the Genting Hill in Malaysia.I can remember,I've been to Malaysia when I was 7 or 8 years old. I really enjoy to stay in Genting Hill.It also have many things to play such as Roller Coaster,Cyclone,4D,Snow House,Ghost House and many things else.I have stay in a tall and colorful hotel and I can remember it's on the 14th floor.I really enjoy to visit Malaysia because it is a really good country.Now I want to visit it again if I have time and chance

A Bad Day

.....I wake up one day feeling a very cold morning thinking that this is a bad day. Later I went to school. And the smell of dead rats and bats are very awful but my classmates and I manage to clean it all up before class time. During break time my classmates and I play soccer and got hit in the face by a ball which feels like a hard pillow striking in your face. That dirty ball and the blood in my mouth taste very salty. Later I fainted got up in the hospital with my girlfriend sitting by the bed. And the hospital smell very disgust I can smell rotten bodies and medicine makes me sick. Seeing my girlfriend waiting for me by standing out to smell makes me love her more than ever. But than my friends running to see me I could hear them from 1 story below but it makes me happier than ever. And the bad day turn out to be the best in my teenage years!

A Beautiful,Beautiful Nightmare

I was running and running very fast in the dark silent forest at late night. while i was running,i heard some wired loud wild sound. I realized just then,what i was hearing was a sound of animal running, it was chasing me just behind of my back. i gained my running speed immediately, i ran a little bit faster . but i felt i was so tired ,could not run anymore . i fell down unexpectedly just like somebody pushed me very hard.I was down on the rough hard ground, i could hear the sound well, it was coming near me now. I needed to get up and continued running as hurry as i could before that animal reached me.i was getting up slowly from the ground because i felt that there was no strength in my body at that hard time. i was so weak ,i was as light as the leave, can blow away easily. i could stand on my feet for just a moment but not so strong and may not last for long. yeah,i was right. I was falling down again just seconds after i stood up but falling down was not the biggest problem ! A grotesque animal was standing strongly in front of me and stared at me angrily and i didn't no what it was. it was so dark in the silent night and i could not see things easily, well just like i was blind. Felt like i was in the haunted house in the mid night time and the darkness appeared all over my tiny cold eyes. that fierce animal moved closely to me as soon as i was using my tired hands to move away. Just a few centimeters from me, its ugly cruel dirty face almost touch my frightened face. i shouted loudly for help "Help! help !" then i heard some heavy foot steps and seconds later i heard a beautiful,soft lady's voice . who was she? was she here to help me?big thank to god ! the voice was louder ,seemed like she was getting near me. yeah! i remembered this voice,it was a voice of my lovely mum. ohhh !she came there just in the right time to rescue me but why i didn't see her. My body was now being shook by soft warm hands, my mum's hands i believed. she also shouted my name out loudly" Nix nix ! are you ok?". i was awake from my dream as somebody spill a large cold water all over my hot face and what i had been seeing was just dreaming, a terrible nightmare ever but it scared me really bad. she sat closely to me,holding me tightly in her warm arms. i really like it,it was the most wonderful place ever that i had ever been to.i hoped it lasted forever,i could always be in her arms. she talked to me quietly with her soft,sweet voice " don't scare! nothing gonna take you away from me,sweetie ! i love you ! ". i was so cheerful after hearing this joyful words, it made me feel as i was the luckiest person in this huge nice world. A beautiful,wonderful nightmare ever in my whole life. although it frightened me but i like it because this nightmare let me know that i mean a lot to her, she really loves me. so what i have to do is to make her happy and proud of me. :) Mum ! I Love You ! <3

Hi everyone!

Hi! My name is Rotha and I'm currently a yl15 student at ACE. I am also studying Khmer in the 9th grade. Everyone in this grade in this year is studying hard since there is a national exam at the end of the year which can change our future. Another reason is that this year, the exam is a lot harder than last year.

Even though I don't particularly like studying, but I always try to study hard so that I can pass tests. My favorite subject in school is physics because every time I study more about it, I learn something new and interesting. I also like English and I started studying it before I even started studying Khmer.

Well, about my hobby. I'm not 100% sure if I actually have one but there's one thing for sure and that's listening to music. I usually spend my free time listening to some pop music. And of course, it's English pop music. Oh! I forgot ! I also like playing video games but time usually flies by as i play it.

My dreams? As you can see in the picture, I really like airplanes so this means I want to be a pilot. Some people say it's dangerous and we hear about plane crashes a lot but do they hear about the million of safe flights every year? And no, no they don't because newspapers don't print "another successful flight to America" right? Besides, I can travel to different countries without being charged. Also, I have this dream of soaring through the skies like birds and feel the wind. Hmm.... maybe one day, I'll invent an anti-gravitational device! Who knows?

Hello! I'm Enix. Here i'm giving you a nice description about myself. :)

I'm a 14 years old boy, now studying in YL15 at ACE and 9th grade of my khmer school which is called Chaktomuk Secondary School.

English? Is my favorite language, i just love it with no doubt. I enjoy learning it so much, just can't get myself out of it! Writing in English is a kind of challenge, mostly hard and absolutely complicated.For me,writing in English is also a quite hard thing to do and my friends seem to telling me that they don't like it,but for me I love writing the most because i think writing is expressing our ideas and people can identify a person by seeing their writing.So if we can write well,the other peoples can understand us well also.I do like writing and i always want to be better at writing every time i write it.

Free time is not so common for me now. i don't have enough,i guess. I have to start school earlier in the day time and end in the evening and then there are just tonnes of homework waiting me to do them. So free time is really meaningful for me. I usually spend it wisely. don;t want it to end.
I usually get myself to relax by doing the thing i like such as chatting with friends,watching TV, a little bit shopping with my friends and something like that. But the only think that I like the most is VISITING A PLACE that i've never been to and TAKING PHOTOS of the landscapes and the things that are there.

The only one thing that i wish i could change is to BE VERY GOOD at ENGLISH because i think i'm not good enough at it now. So i would like to be Better from time to time and pass the IELTS with a very good grade(6.0 or above)

The only wish in my life is to LIVE A HAPPY AND WONDERFUL LIFE. i want to stay closely to the people that i love such as my family,my friends,.. then enjoy the time with them. Writing is a good program for me because i can know exactly how to write, think.... While I am writing i have to listen to music, if i don't listen to the music i can't think what i should write.


My favorite hobbies are listening to music, read books, hang out with friends. I love to listen to music because it makes me feel very well when i got stress. Reading history books is the best hobby because books can make us know a lot about the history esp about KHMER history( pol pot, the old kings...). I never hang out with friends when it's the weekend because my house is too far from the place where i go but i like hang out with friends.

My name is Moniroath. I've been studying at ACE for 2 years. I really enjoy learning English, i meant every subjects about English, including writings. I don't know how to describe my feelings, but i could say that i enjoy writing in English much more than anything else.

I usually spend most of my free times reading books. Just because I think it worth than doing other things such as watch movies, listening to music and so on. Further more, reading can help me to improve my reading skill at the same time while it makes fun for me. There is one more thing i love to do during my free times, creating fictions by using my own idea and my imaginations.

Of course, there is one thing I wish I could change. It would be the best for me, if i could have more times to do some more researches about Mathematics and Chemistry theories. Both subjects are my favorite ones at school. So, I would like to be very good at them.

My ambition is to be a doctor and I always look forward to graduate my studies as soon as the times could be. I would like to help, save people from diseases and take care about their healths. Moreover, i can take care my family by myself and protect them from illnesses. By keep studying hard, I know i could make my dream comes true in some days.

My name is Monineath. I'm 14 years old and I'm 9th grader in Khmer School. This is my 3rd term of studying in ACE and it's also my 2nd time of writing blogs.Right now I'd like to introduce about myself to you guys so that you'll know more about me or your claamate.


I think when we have free we should spend time on writing in English because it might improve our writing skill and also our English will get more influence. Then it would be easier for us to read things in English and we would be able to understand them faster.


My hobby is traveling, listening to music and hanging out and I enjoy these things so much . However, nowadays I don't have as much time as usual to hang out or travel around because I have to spend more time for this busy year of studying. I have to get high score on my national exam, so I just have to leave all useless things behind and spend most of the time on studying.

I wish that I was better in communicating face to face with people. Through the screen I'm able to talk a lot. On the other hand, in normal living life I found it's hard to talk to people, especially strangers or acquaintances. I can only be talkative with my best friends who I have known for ages. Well, I just wish I could be more friendly and got better in communication face to face.

Well my dream is becoming a good doctor so that i could earn lots of money and also I'd be able to help lots of people. Helping people is a wonderful thing and it might also make us feel good when we know that we've just helped someone.
