My favourite gift (rev)
A few years ago I got a very beautiful gift from my dearest, best friend for my birthday. It's one of my most favorite gifts ever. She gave me a necklace with a big crystal star pendant. The pendant just looks similar to lively starfish. It's just a simple crystal and it's not as expensive nor beautiful as diamonds, but I like it anyway.
The size of the pendant is as big as your thumb and the pendant changes its color according to what kind of clothes you're wearing on. If you put the pendant above light colors, the pendant will get light blue. On the other hand, if you put it above dark colors, it will get yellow. How cool is that? It looks like I have two necklaces of the same style. Whenever my friends see it, they always asked me where I had bought it so that they would be able to get one also. Unfortunately, I couldn't answer their question because it's not me who bought it.
I had been wearing it for ages, but well since my teacher told us not to wear any jewelry ( even if it's not real ), I decided to take it off and put it in a safe place so that my naughty cousin wouldn't find it and destroy it.
It does remind me a lot of our memories. At that time, I was just a quiet girl. I rarely talk to strangers nor new classmates, but that girl keep on trying to talk to me and trying to make me talk a lot. Time has passed and well, I became more friendly. I started to tell jokes and talk to strangers sometimes. I really want to thank her a lot because she's the one who make changes in me. She's an incredible friend.
( The picture looks 90% similar to my necklace. )

What do you think of the 'no jewelry in school,' rule?
ReplyDeleteOh, and nice post!
Yay, someone actually corrected the grammar!:)
ReplyDeleteThank you for doing that! I deleted that part of the previous comment.
Very clearly written, and nice description of how it changes colors. I also like the comparison to a starfish :)
I wondered if there were any emotions associated with this? You say it was a gift from your dearest friend. I wonder - when you see this necklace, do you think about this person, and what first comes to mind? Does it also remind you of that birthday or that time in your life?
Each paragraph works really well. Nice work!
Your welcome^^

teacher Phillip, sorry for my late response ><
ReplyDeleteanyway i don't have lots of ideas about this because it doesn't matter for me if the school allows me to wear jewelery or not. However, it's such a good rule to obey I think because when you don't wear jewelries, it couldn't show what you have, how rich or how poor you are and then there's no more robberies... ( my idea ^^ ) Monineath
roath an enix, thx u guys ^^

Is this revised now and ready to be published? I don't see many changes, so I was wondering... Let me know, ok? Thanks.
ReplyDeletep.s. here are some edits to one sentence:
I had been wearing it for ages, but well (DELETE WELL) since my teacher told us not to wear any jewelries (JEWELRY) ( even if it's not the real one ) (DELETE "THE" AND "ONE"), so (DELETE SO) I decided to take it off and put it in a safe place so that my naughty cousin wouldn't find it and destroy it.
In addition to my previous comments, I'd recommend thinking about whether this is the best ending, or if there is perhaps one more sentence that might really make me feel how much you love this necklace..
