My Board
The thing that I own that can't be replaced would definitely be my Elements Dispersion Skateboard. I feel on top of the world, every time I take it out for a spin. My parents always tell to stop skateboarding, because I always come back with a bandage on my knee or elbow, but I never listen. I mean, sure there's a lot of injury involved with skateboarding, but if you skate right you won't get a single scratch. It was a gift that a friend of mine in Australia gave to me last Christmas. Even though in Cambodia, we don't celebrate Christmas he still mailed it to me as a gift. The Dispersion Board is one of the many Boards made by Element. The board itself is space black with wheels the color of brown wood. On the back of the board there's two fire red Element Logos in the middle which is surrounded by white and grey miniature words saying ''Fire.Water.Wind.Earth''. The board itself isn't worth much financially, but there's nothing else in the world that has as much value sentimentally to me. It was the first gift I had ever received by mail, and it was the only gift I have ever received on Christmas.

Steven, this was a very clear description. I especially liked the last sentence - what a great concluding sentence!
ReplyDeleteOne suggestion I have is to include a little more of yourself in this description. Remember how the example we read revealed the writer's personality? I wonder how describing this skateboard could reveal a little bit more about you? Maybe you could include something about how it actually feels to use it, why you like skateboarding, or?? For some people, this gift might mean very little, because it wouldn't fit them, but I'm sure there's some reason it fits you...
I do really like how you describe how much it meant to you to receive it as a gift. I felt how meaningful it was to receive, all the way from Australia!
Thanks for sharing.
